SUMMER LEAGUE INFORMATION
Summer league will start July 3rd and end July 24th.  It will be on Mondays from 5:30 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and will be held at Pearland Junior High West located at 2337 N. Galveston Pearland, TX 77581

REGISTER NOW
The League fee will be $60 if postmarked by June 9th.  It will be $75 if postmarked after June 10th.

- Each team must have at least 8 players on the roster.  We will accept individual entries if you do not have a team to play on and will find a team for you to play with.
- All teams must provide their own coach or team representative
- Each team will play a minimum of 2 matches a night
- Refereeing will be according to UIL rules
- All matches will be best 2 out of 3 - rally scoring
- Each team must turn in a team roster along with individual forms

The 12 Maroon team opened season play at the Willowbrook Classic #1 tournament, and took first in pool play. They stayed hot, taking third overall in the tournament.

Pearland Juniors teams finished their competition in the Texas Championship Series at Willowbrook in Houston over the March 5-6 weekend. Just making the 24 team field is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations to all three teams; coaches, players and fans, for representing Pearland Juniors with such skill and class.

Pearland Juniors teams finished their competition in the Houston Power League over the April 2-3 weekend. Two Silver Division finishes and a Copper. Way to go, ladies!

Congratulations to Pearland Juniors 13 Maroon and 15 Maroon! These teams are ranked among the top teams in the Lone Star region! The Region publishes a Top 10 for ages 13 through 18.

Pearland Juniors 13 Maroon, coached by Blair Von Ruff, is ranked #7 out of 116 teams

Pearland Juniors 15 Maroon, coached by James Stahl, is ranked #6 out of 147 teams

Pearland Juniors is pleased to announce that Jacklyn Vantiem will be at our facilities on Friday, January 28th and Sunday January 30th to hold hitting classes. Jackie was hired last summer to help prepare our 14's Maroon team for the Junior Olympics. "She is the best volleyball coach that I've had the privilege to know," says Bea Aguilera, Director, "We are very excited to have her join us once again." 14 Maroon and 15 Maroon and Black will be traveling to College Station for the first Stop of the Texas Championship Series on January 22th (23rd for the 15s). The teams should plan to stay at the La Quinta Inn College Station, 607 Texas Ave. 14M will be staying Friday night. 15M and 15B will be staying Saturday night. The girls will again be staying with their parents, and each family should make reservations at 1-800-531-5900. Specify the hotel location and reference Pearland Juniors Volleyball Club, group number: 53946498.

17 Maroon athletes Andrea Aguilera (Pearland High School, 24-5A) and Emily Gordon (Pasadena Sam Rayburn High School, 22-5A) earned First Team All-District Honors. 15 Maroon athlete Amanda Aguilera (Pearland High School, 24-5A) earned Second Team All-District Honors. Congratulations on this terrific recognition!

Both Pearland High School and Clear Lake High School have made the Regional Quarter-Finals, the third round of the UIL playoffs!

PJVC wishes Pearland best luck as they play Kingwood tonight. PJVC athletes playing for Pearland include Andrea Aguilera, Chelsea Myers, Kelsey Walker, Kiersten Thompson and Morghan Santellana of 17 Maroon and Amanda Aguilera of 15 Maroon.

And PJVC wishes good luck to the Clear Lake, including PJVC athlete Erin Cutchen of 15 Maroon. Clear Lake plays Spring.

Pearland lost to Kingwood 18-25, 20-25, 21-25. Congratulations to the Oilers on a Great Season! Kingwood will play Elkins in the other Regional Semi-Final Saturday.

UPDATE: Clear Lake lost to Dulles 25-23, 20-25, 17-25, 25-19, 13-15. Congratulations to the Falcons, also a Terrific Season. Dulles advances to the Regional Final. They face Kingwood, who defeated Elkins 25-19, 27-25, 23-25, 25-17.

Pearland Juniors hosted a USAV scorekeepers and referee clinic on Sunday, November 7. There was a huge turnout as players, coaches and parents took the opportunity to learn and get certified as USAV volunteers. >Pictures

Players: If you did not attend, be sure to check with your coach to see if a make up is needed. You can check the Lone Star Regional schedule for other clinics that will be held throughout the year.

Club starts on Monday November 8th for everyone but 15 Maroon and 17 Maroon.
17 Maroon will start on November 16th due to the Varsity high school girls being in playoffs.
15 Maroon will start on November 10th because Coach James is out of town. 15 Black coach Greta Ludwig will run the 15 Maroon practice on Wednesday. At least two 15 Maroon players are currently playing Varsity. If your team is still in the playoffs on the 10th and you need to miss, call Coach Ludwig to make arrangements. Bea has her number if you need it.

Former 15s Black coach Greta Ludwig owns Dynamic Rehab Center. They are equipped to treat a variety of patients including those with Orthopedic and Sports Injuries.

As a courtesy to our players, Pearland Juniors will host a scorekeepers and referee clinic on Sunday, November 7, 2004 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Epiphany Lutheran church, located at 5515 West Broadway.

All players should plan to attend and receive their scorekeeper certification. 15s and 17s can attend the referee clinic as well. >Details
