Beatrice Aguilera

She has a bachelor's degree in Communication. She played for
Pearland High School's volleyball team in 1981. She has a passion for learning this dynamic sport and has
attended clinics all over the nation that include: University of Houston - Houston, Texas, USA Olympics Center-
Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sports Performance - Chicago, Illinois, Pepperdine University - Malibu, California, Stanford University - Palo Alto, California.
She trains in the summer under the mentorship of Denize Diniz, former Brazilian Olympic player acquiring new
drills to introduce to program each year.
Bea is currently responsible for coaching the developmental teams while
fulfilling her responsibilities of managing the club. She served as the Head
Coach for the 13 team in 2002-2003 and 14 Maroon team in 2003-2004, leading
them to win the Bronze medal at the 2004 Junior Olympics and was Head Coach
for 13 Maroon in 2007 and 2008. |

Chien Yu Lee

He attended Rice University where he was
pursuing a degree in Kinisiology. Chien-Yu Lee has served as volunteer assistant coach and team manager for Rice
University since 1997. In addition, he also played on the Rice men’s volleyball club team from 1998 – 2002.
He has participated in many summer camps that include: Rice University, University of Houston, Debbie Sokal
Camp, Pearland Juniors, Chapelwood Volleyball camp and Humble High School camp.
He is currently Technical Coordinator of Pearland Juniors Volleyball Club.
This is his 4th year with Pearland Juniors.

Sharee Shepherd
Coach - 12 Maroon

She has a bachelor's degree in Cinema Television with a focus in film and a minor in Sociology. She lettered in volleyball, basketball, and track her freshman year at Dobie High School. She was captain of the volleyball team as a junior and captained the basketball team as a senior, where she led the Longhorns to the state tournament in 2004. Her sports career led her to play basketball at Southern Methodist University where she was named Defensive Player of the Year for Conference USA. She earned All Tournament honors in the Conference USA tournament and the Mustangs competed in the NCAAs in 2008.
Upon graduation, Sharee became a teacher/coach at Berry Miller Junior High in Pearland. She received the Glenda Dawson New Teacher of the Year for her school in 2008. She coaches 8th grade volleyball, basketball, track, and cross country and has recently been promoted to the Girls Athletic Coordinator. Sharee is very excited to be a part of the Pearland Juniors Volleyball Club.

Blair Gray
12 Black/Coaching Coordinator

Blair received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Houston and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She was a three-year varsity volleyball starter for Bay Area Christian High School and two-year captain. She earned All-District honors for two consecutive years. She also played club volleyball for 3 years. In 2003, Blair coached the 12's team and lead them to the Gold Championship at the Cross Court Classic, as well as numerous other 1st and 2nd place wins. In 2004, her 13's team placed 2nd at their first tournament and 5th at the Cajunland Easter Classic. Blair assisted the 14 Maroon team at the Junior Olympics where they won the Bronze medal in the American Division. In 2005, she coached the 13 Maroon team to a 6th place in Houston Power League and 5th at Cross Court Classic. In 2010, Blair lead the 12 Maroon team to the Junior Olympics in Reno, Nevada.
This is Blair's 10th year with Pearland Juniors Volleyball Club. Blair is also employed in Clear Creek ISD as the Head Volleyball Coach and Basketball Coach at Brookside Intermediate School.

Daisy Rios

Daisy Rios is a graduate of Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena,Tx. and played on the Varsity team for three years and was the Captain on her senior year. She attended Bacone college for 2 1/2 years and was the Lead Libero her sophnore and junior year. She made first team all conference junior year and player of the week Libero,broke a record for NAIA Red river conference over 50 digs per match/set my Junior year 2010.
Daisy is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and received a degree in Physical Education. Daisy is the 12 Silver Head Coach and this is her 2nd year with Pearland Juniors. |

Lacey
Starkenburg
Coach - 13 Maroon

Lacey began playing volleyball at age 8 and has loved it ever since. She
played at Bay Area Christian HS, where she gained state recognition when
chosen as 1st team All-State. She has played on college tournament teams
since entering into college, and was captain for her first two seasons.
She is currently going to school at the University of Houston Clear Lake
majoring in Political Science. In the 2008-2009 season Lacey coached the
14 Black team to place 5th in Gold at the Cross Court Classic.
Lacey coached the 13 Maroon team last year and had many successes including 1st place at Cross Court,
1st place in Silver division at Power League, 2nd place at GCVC#2, 1st place at Team Texas Tournament,
2nd place at WSC during the 2009-2010 season. She lead her team to participate in the Junior Nationals in Atlanta Georgia in 2011 finishing 11th in the nation.
Lacey is a graduate from the University of Houston Clear Lake in 2011 with a degree in Public Service Management. She is currently the Head coach of the 13’s maroon team and this is Lacey’s 5th year with Pearland Juniors.

Britany Tuggle

| Britany played volleyball at both Clear Lake and Clear Brook HS and played 4 years of club volleyball.
She received a full scholarship for volleyball to San Jacinto College. While at San Jacinto, Britany
gained experience in several positions, making her a very versatile player.
She graduated in 2007 from
Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences and a minor in Business
Administration.
PJVC is excited have such an energetic individual on staff. This is Britany's third year with us. |

Anthony (Tony) Lofton
14 Maroon/Coaching Coordinator

This is Tony's 2nd year with Pearland Juniors. Tony has a BA in Marketing
from King College in Bristol, TN. While in college, Tony played on the men's
volleyball team, where he served as co-captain, was titled defensive player
of the year, and set a school record for digs in a single season. He has
worked at several volleyball camp, including Rice, UNT, and Texas A&M.
Tony brings a wide variety of experience to PJVC and his enthusiasm for
the sport of volleyball is sure to be contagious.

Elise Gilbert

Introduced to volleyball through her sibilings and began playing club volleyball at age 11. She played for Rockford Volleyball Association (RVBA) for 7 years until the age of 18. Played Varisty Volleyball for Rockford Jefferson High School 4 years consectutively. While in high school Elise recieved honors as a first and second team All-Conference player. After graduating played volleyball for Rock Valley College in Rockford, Ill and took 2nd place in the NJCAA Div III National Volleyball Championships. After playing at RVC Elise transferred to Dillard University in New Orleans, LA. where she specialized in setter and defensive specialist positions. She has been the Varsity volleyball coach at YES prep Public school since 2008. This is Elise’s first year with Pearland Juniors and she is the Head coach for the 14 silver team.

Monique Thomas

Monique is a Graduate of Texas Southern University earning a bachelor’s degree in Finance. She is currently working as an accountant. She received a full scholarship to attend Johnson County Community college and played as a Middle Hitter, after her first year at the junior college, she was recruited with a full scholarship to play for Texas Southern University and played as a middle and right side hitter. She earned the SWAC All Academic award and was nominated as the All Tournament player at the Southern University tournament. This will be her third year as a club coach and her first year with Pearland Juniors. She is currently the Head Coach for the 15’s black team.

Dominique Shivers

Dominique is a graduate of A&M Prairie view and earned a degree in interdisciplinary studies. She has been playing volleyball since the age of 11 years old and participated on the Staffod High School team on the varsity team for four years. She has experience playing at different clubs in the Houston area. Dominique has held several positions with Pearland Juniors which include developmental assistant coach, mini-club coach and is currently the Head coach for the 14 Black team and mini-club white team. This will be Dominique’s second year with Pearland Juniors.

Kelly participated on her varsity high school volleyball team at Wharton High school for two years. She went on to play volleyball at Alvin Community College and graduated with an Associates degree. She has played on an adult volleyball club team for the last six years and was the volleyball coach for three years at Living Stones Christian School. She is currently the Head Coach for the Mini-club Fuschia team and helps with the developmental program. This is Kelly's first year with Pearland Juniors.
She and her husband own a construction company and have three children.
